'Sister, Sister', by Aimee Rytenskild, depicts four woman standing together. Some hold their arms out in an embrace, others gaze out at the viewer. A few of the Sisters hold kookaburra's in their arms, a bird which has come to be synonymous with the Australian Bush. Each Sister wears a dress that is adorned with native Australian foliage, such as banksia flowers/leaves, gum leaves and kangaroo paws. The sisters have hair that entwines and tangles, reminiscent of tree roots, alluding to the connection between 'femininity' and 'mother nature'.
