Aimee Rytenskild is a visual artist that finds inspiration and joy in bold and rich colour's and patterns.
Currently living in the South West of WA, Aimee creates figurative paintings that explore the experience of womanhood through the creation of whimsical female characters and subjects.
Inspired by fellow Australian artists such as Vali Meyers and Del Katherine Barton, Aimee's work is characterized by it's large scale filled with vibrant colour and mezmarising female characters.
Aimee's career started by completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Sculpture in 2016 at RMIT university, and has since exhibited at a range of galleries in both Melbourne and Perth, including her first solo exhibition at Forty Five Downstairs in Melbourne. In 2019 Aimee co founded Old Coast Studio, a sculpture studio in WA focused on metal based work.
