'Peaches', by Aimee Rytenskild, depicts a female figure, who gazes out from the canvas. In her hand she holds a peach, which she reaches up to her face as if about to take a bite. Her dress is adorned with a graphic pattern based on the shape of Australian Blue Wrens, and she is surrounded by a pattern made up of Native Flora, notably Waratahs, signifying her connection to the Australian Bush. Her hair is stringy and wild, reminiscent of tree roots. This serves as a physical connection between her and nature, and alludes to the connection between 'femininity' and 'mother nature'.

'Peaches' serves as a celebration of pattern and graphics, and features bold, yet controlled pops of colour. This piece will certainly serve as a conversation starter in any space.
